Congratulations to Cordale Housing Association who have become the first Housing Association in Scotland, with the help of Kiswebs, to be accredited with an Internet Crystal Mark by Plain English Campaign (PEC).
As reported in Scottish Housing News - "Cordale Housing Association (CHA) has achieved another Scottish first - this time it is for the standard of their website
Cordale Housing Association had a need for a website that would keep our tenants up to date with how we have progressed over the years and also our vision for the future.
We dipped our toe into the web previously as part of a group of Housing Associations but we found getting changes done and keeping our information up to date was proving problematic. As such we felt we had to have our own stand alone website that we could maintain inhouse as and when we wished.
We were introduced to Kiswebs as they had experience of working with other Housing Associations and they explained the benefits of using their product PHARO.
It was evident that PHARO met all our needs and would allow us to fully manage our website content. It meant we could update as and when it became necessary. No more waiting for someone else to make changes for us.
Kiswebs provided many sketch proposals at the outset and through consultation with us we arrived at our preferred design and layout.
Within weeks we were being trained on how to manage the website content, including text, images and documents and much more. A 3D fly through of an upcoming development was also added and this helped us explain to a wider audience our vision for the future..
All in all having our own website that we manage has allowed us to get information out to our community as and when it is required.
We would certainly recommend Kiswebs and their product PHARO to any Housing Association that is contemplating either getting a website for the first time or perhaps moving their existing website onto another level and taking full control of their content.
